Root Cellar New Braunfels

Root Cellar New Braunfels is a rustic cafe offering from-scratch Americana cuisine. Their menu boasts items like spinach artichoke dip, roasted garlic hummus and pesto pasta – made fresh on site. Kyle Mylius, the restaurant’s founder and owner explains that making as much food in their own kitchen as possible helps eliminate preservatives found in store-bought products and preserve the quality of the meal they provide their customers.

The cafe also provides a seasonal menu. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner – such as their signature Hill Country Breakfast made of a split buttermilk buscuit served with sausage patties, scrambled eggs and house-made roasted jalapeno cream gravy – they provide various sandwiches and burgers including their popular Shredded Beet Burger that features goat cheese, pesto mayonnaise and microgreens all on a toasted brioche bun.

At Cafe Romaine they specialize in serving crisp romaine leaves with Parmesan cheese, crisp croutons and an assortment of creamy or tangy root razz vinaigrette dressings as well as daily-changing soup specials.

Root Cellar New Braunfels is conveniently situated just 17 miles from Texas State University and 22 miles from Canyon Lake, with Schlitterbahn Waterpark Resort just minutes away by car and Bobcat Stadium a quick ride away. Additionally, this vacation home provides complimentary private parking (reservation required), as well as on-site dining or delivery options to choose from for meals.
