Fallout 4 Root Cellar is a small nondescript shack located within Gorski Cabin (south of Abernathy Farm). However, beneath its surface lies a dark secret: this small building serves as the entrance to Wayne Gorski’s underground cellar where he lives with his Chemistry Station and Weapons Workbench.
The interior of the shack is also well-equipped, featuring a working pre war stove and access point to its water source – located in a barrel at its back – as well as several storage containers and an operational food processing station where players can make Nuka Cherries.
Root cellaring has long been an important activity to help ensure winter food supplies. Today, it has become popular among gardeners, organic farmers, DIY enthusiasts, homesteaders and emergency preparedness advocates seeking some form of emergency preparedness plan – not to mention those who appreciate local cuisine, slow foods, heirloom plants and traditional culture.
Fallout 4 introduces us to The Cellar. A manmade underground shelter created two houses up from Sole Survivor’s house in 2287 by its previous owner after not being accepted into any vaults; its doors can be found behind house just before cul-de-sac near wild mutfruit plants; within it can be found several storage containers and safes, with three gold bars sitting atop both safes.
